Effective Ways to Know Your Superpowers

Know your superpowers. Start understanding how you can maximize them can lead you to a life you’ve always dreamed about.

Build Your Business Out of Your Passion and Never Ever Feel Like You’re Working Again.

Did that statement sound familiar?

I bet you’ve read a similar statement from somewhere. If it’s your first time to hear it, that’s ok, anyway, I wrote this post for people who wants to create a fulfilling lifestyle. The kind of lifestyle with the freedom to do anything, anywhere, and anytime.

And it all begins by knowing your superpowers.

It’s not a magical thing where I tell you how to create a million in a snap.

A superpower is your unique gift.

Where once identified and nurtured, you’ll be surprised where it could lead you.

It cannot be an allabout passion when you aim to achieve success in all areas of life.

A superpower is a combination of your talent + skills + passion.

Let me show you how that looks like.

Back in the day, I used to be very talented in creating handicrafts and recycled goodies. I do them for fun because I zone out when I do arts. But I’m passionate about making money because I’ve always wanted to attain freedom in all aspects of my life. I also love learning new things. One skill I’m very proud of is my ability to grasp information and put in place right away.

So imagine how I combined all.

Arts + Passion in achieving freedom + Ability to learn and apply fast

That is how I ended up doing Social Media Marketing and it all evolved from there.

Like me, you have something unique.
If you haven’t figured it out yet, I’m here to help you.

But first, let’s try to understand why you’re reading this and why you’ve got to figure out your superpower. I know you’re reading this because you are ready for a change. Right?

Say it out loud, “ I am ready for a change. “

Reason #1 –  You are here because you want to grow from the current status you have in life.

I want to let you know that it’sperfectlynormal to have that kind of want and drive to grow. Who doesn’t want continuous progress? No one. Everyone wants to grow upwards. I am with you.

Reason #2 – You want to know your superpowers because you know that you are not maximizing your potential.

Yes! I felt that too! When I was working in the BPO industry as a Team Lead/ Trainer. It’s like you freaking know you can do more but you’renot sure how to get started. So I’ll help guide you.

Reason #3 – You have an idea about your abilities but you ain’t sure how to use it to your advantage.

Or you don’t know what’s that x-factor you’ve got that’s going to change your life forever. That is so normal that’s why I’ll give you a clear path.

Am I right or did I miss something?

So going back, how do you know your superpowers?

 1. Acceptance.

The first thing that you should do is ACCEPT the FACT that you have a SUPERPOWER. Don’t resist the fact. ACCEPT so awareness can begin. Many people ignore or reject the fact that they are good at some things and think of it as ‘nothing important’.
Heck, remember, your superpower is your unique talent. It could be the answer to someone’s major problem and they’re waiting for someone like you to come to their lives. But that won’t happen until you’re ripe. So let’s get going!

 2. Ask yourself these key questions.

Get a piece of paper and answer these:

  • What do you enjoy doing?
  • What areas of work do you seem to get the best results for?
  • What activities do you do that make you feel strong?
  • What do you find easy or something you regard as mere common sense that others find hard?
  • Is there a type of project or task that ignites your passion, motivates you and is something you could go on and on about?
  • Do you find that there is a particular theme or topic that people come to you with, or seek you consult about?

The intent of this activity is to help you nail your superpowers and improve your self-awareness. It’s important to know what you offer others and what you can bring to the table.

 3. Get expert help.

I’ve invited George Ramos, a People and Organizational Analysis Expert and coach, to give advice.

Read my interview with him below:

How to start finding one’s superpower?

George: They say Superpowers may be like the zone of genius because of the innate skill component.

Your untapped superpowers are waiting. You can harness your “zones” of geniuses through special conditions.

George:  To put it simply… You don’t find your superpower. It’s already inside you.

Find a quiet place and put yourself in a relaxed state. Start recalling the events where you’ve amassed the most success in life.

Only focus on what you were good at as a reason to why you achieved that particular success.

Try to write down at least 3-5 real-life events that took place under that success item.

You will label them as Pieces of evidence of your Success. List them one by one and do it for 5 days.

Allot 1-2 hours each day for this reflection exercise.
Once you’ve put in a list—-you can try to connect it with what you love to do.
